Lauren McQueen
Practice Areas: Criminal Defense and Civil Litigation
Lauren McQueen is a Champaign, Illinois native, having graduated from Central High School in 2008. Lauren is a 2018 graduate of the Southern Illinois University School of Law, having previously received her Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2011. While attending the University of Illinois, Lauren was an active member of the Marching Illini and Illinois Basketball Band and continue to be an active alumni member. While attending law school, Lauren participated in the Domestic Violence clinic for three semester and gained valuable knowledge about the law and the effects on it can have on people.
After graduating from law school, Lauren was hired by the Champaign County State’s Attorney’s Office where she practiced for two and half years primarily as the lead Traffic Prosecutor. After joining Erwin, Martinkus & Cole, Ltd. in 2021, Lauren’s practice expanded into the areas of Criminal Defense, with a specialty in DUIs, and General Civil Litigation.
Lauren is a current board member and treasurer of the Champaign County Bar Association and an active member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
After graduating from law school, Lauren was hired by the Champaign County State’s Attorney’s Office where she practiced for two and half years primarily as the lead Traffic Prosecutor.
